Metadata corrections

After a release is delivered you can ask for its details to be corrected from its card.

What you can correct

Release title, main and featured artists, composers, lyricists, contributors, publisher, ℗ production line, ISWC, audio language, genre, release date and cover art. UPC and ISRC can be corrected on catalogue transfers.

Steps

  1. Click the pencil on the release card and choose what to correct.
  2. Enter the corrected values. Each field shows what the release has now next to the box for the correction. For track details, choose one track or all tracks.
  3. Give a reason and check the total. A fee applies for each corrected field, and you see it before you pay.
  4. Pay and submit. Our team applies the correction and updates the stores.
Good to know. A field can’t be submitted if it’s the same as now, so you’re never charged for nothing. A release that is already out can’t have its release date changed.
