Submitting a new release

The New Release form walks you through everything the stores need. Your progress is saved automatically on your device, so you can stop and come back later.

Before you start

• Cover art: a square JPG or PNG between 3000 × 3000 and 4500 × 4500 pixels. See Cover art requirements.
• Audio: the final master of each track. WAV or FLAC is preferred; MP3 is accepted.
• Names: the exact spelling of every artist, and the full legal names of the composers and lyricists.
• Catalogue transfers: the release’s UPC and every track’s ISRC.

Step 1: Release details

Enter the title, label, product type (Single, EP or Album), release type, language, artists, genre, dates, © and ℗ lines, and upload the cover art. See Release details explained for each field.

Step 2: Tracks and assets

Each track has its own card with its title, artists, writers, contributors, language, genre and master audio. On a single, the track copies the release details for you. See Tracks and audio.

Step 3: Review and submit

1. Check the summary: titles, artists, dates and that every track has its audio.
2. Fix anything the form highlights. Each problem is marked on the field itself with a short explanation.
3. Submit. The release goes to our review team and appears in Products as Under review.
